What to expect at a swim meet
For the answers to frequently asked questions about swim meets view our Guidebook.
Swim Practice and Lessons
Practice is held every weekday starting mid-April in the afternoon. Morning practice will begin in June when school gets out. The complete schedule of practice times is available. Private lessons are offered by the coaches - see the Clinics & Lessons tab for more information as it becomes available.
Who Runs the Meet? Parents Do
It takes approximately 48 Woodlands parents to staff a home meet and about 25 parents at away meets. In order to ensure an equitable distribution of this commitment, all parents are asked to begin the season by selecting a minimum job assignments (see Job Requirements). In addition, each family will be expected to work at the Conference Meet and the Invitational Meet. Read more for a description of the jobs and what may be appropriate for you and your family.
If you sign up to work and then you cannot fulfill your obligation, we ask that you find a sub and that you notify the jobs coordinator.
