Chili Cook-Off Cook your Chili at home and bring it along with any ecoutremants needed to enhance your chili to the pool - expect a crowd! Your chili will be judged by club members and a panel of judges.

Awards will be given for best chili! 

Trunk or Treat to Follow Chili Awards

A Trunk or Treat is a Halloween event where children, in costume, go from car to car in a parking lot to collect candy and treats, as participants have decorated their car trunks with Halloween themes.

How It Works

Decorate the Trunks:

Volunteers and participants decorate the trunks of their cars with Halloween-themed designs, often going above and beyond to create elaborate, immersive environments.

Gather in a Parking Lot:

Cars are parked in a circle or similar formation in a parking lot, such as at an elementary school, church, or community center.

Trick-or-Treating:

Children walk from car to car, which are arranged closely together, to receive candy and other treats from the car owners.

Trunk or treats bring families together in a fun, festive atmosphere, fostering a sense of community.

*Cabana Club will provide the first large bag of candy/goodies in advance to adults volunteering to set up their trunks for this event!*

Fourth of July Parade and Fun Day - July 4

Fourth of July is a fun annual neighborhood event.  The whole community is invited to participate in the parade that starts at Valle Verde Elementary School and ends at the Cabana Club where everyone can attend the party and play games.  We always end the festivities with inflatable boat races for all ages! 

Members are free. The community is welcome for $5 each.

Parade Details: 

• 11AM - Meet in front of Valle Verde Elementary. 
• Decorate your bike, scooter, turn your car into a float, or walk the route. 
• 11:30 - Parade starts.
• Noon - Cabana Club opens.  
• Noon -3 - Snack Shack will be open  with smash burgers, hot dogs, beverages, snacks, and ice cream.  Organized games will be available to play.

Opening Day

Join us to get ready for summer by socializing with friends and participating in a STEM Cardboard Box Boat Race on Opening Day. The Snack Shack will be open for lunch and snacks. Supplies for the boats will be provided by the Cabana Club and teams will be formed by the Cabana Board at the pool.
